The track, '3rd Time Lucky', is a tribute to his mum, who was supported by °®Éñ´«Ã½ after her cancer diagnosis.

AJ Tracey, London-born rapper and record producer, releases the moving single today, Thursday 29 May, at 7:30pm BST, with a live YouTube fundraiser in support of °®Éñ´«Ã½.

The track is an emotional tribute to his mum and her cancer diagnosis and recovery. AJ commented:

3rd Time Lucky is about going through tough times with your loved ones, but coming through stronger at the end of it. I wanted to be honest but also hopeful, to help give strength to all those who need it.

In the single, the rapper reflects on fear, gratitude, and the quiet strength of family, before it closes with a special message from Maggie’s.

Dame Laura Lee DBE, our Chief Executive, comments:

We are incredibly grateful to AJ for thinking of us and including us at the end of his music video for his new single ‘3rd Time Lucky’.

"The track is incredibly heartfelt and shines an important light on what it is like to be a young man with a parent with cancer.

"AJ’s support will help us raise awareness of Maggie’s amongst his fans and ensure they know where to turn if they, or someone they love, is facing cancer.

The animated music video features hand-made puppets brought to life through stop-motion animation. It tells AJ’s story with poignancy and craft, transforming personal hardship into beautiful visual storytelling.

This single and new album comes after AJ Tracey recently finished his sold-out tour Not Even A Tour and headline at Radio 1's Big Weekend.
